Conservation projects by the World Land Trust
The World Land Trust is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other biologically important lands.

World Land TrustThe World Land Trust is an international conservation charity, based in Suffolk, UK. Since its foundation in 1989, the World Land Trust has been working to preserve the world's most biologically important and threatened lands, and has helped purchase and protect over 375,000 acres of habitats rich in wildlife, in Asia, Central and South America and the UK.

The majority of the World Land Trust's projects involve the protection of land, raising funds to enable local conservation organisations purchase and protect important wildlife habitats. When selecting projects, specific criteria are evaluated to ensure that the project falls within the WLT’s mission, and to ensure that the project is likely to succeed in its aims.

Carbon Balanced by the World Land Trust
Carbon Balanced meets the challenge of climate change through projects that both offset carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and conserve biodiversity.

Carbon BalancedThe World Land Trust believes that carbon offsetting and conservation go hand-in-hand. Projects combine reduction of atmospheric carbon while addressing urgent global threats, including the preservation of endangered species, by providing secure habitats.

The Carbon Balanced programme therefore delivers much more than a measurable offset for CO2 emissions. Visit the Carbon Balanced website and find out more about how you can offset your carbon emissions and help protect the planet.
